Abstract

Soiling of conventional photovoltaic (PV) modules and concentrated solar power (CSP) mirrors significantly affects efficiency of the system. Although there are several ways to reduce the effect of soiling, anti-soiling coatings are the most promising solution for solar power projects. To date no particular anti-soiling technology had been widely adopted, mostly due to lack of durability. In addition, there are only a few reliable technologies that can be employed to retrofit existing installations. SolarSkin by BFP is an advanced coating system which can increase the energy yield of the solar system and protect it from weathering effects over its expected operational lifecycle.
